Financial assistance to asylum seekers not hosted in government authorised structures will end

The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum announced that no financial assistance will be given to asylum seekers beginning from July 1 if they are not housed in government authorised structures, Proto Thema reported.

The Secretary General of the Reception of Asylum Seekers, Manos Logothetis, clarified that "the material conditions will be provided, along with the housing and a housing operator."

Therefore, those who do not have the necessary financial resources to cover their basic living needs should submit a request for housing.

The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum is already processing all housing applications submitted.
