Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias met with his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides in Paphos for the meeting of Foreign Ministers of Greece, Cyprus, Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting focused on the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean
and the Cyprus issue, as well as the next steps in the ongoing coordination between Greece and Cyprus, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At the same time, Cypriot President Nikos Anastasiadis responded to Turkey’s announcement yesterday that they will only discuss a complete partition of Cyprus.

“I am sincerely saddened by their behavior and attitude, which is not unprecedented and is well known throughout the Cyprus negotiation process,” he said.

It is well known that the failure to reach a solution was not due to the lack of will on the part of the Greek Cypriot community, but as a result of Turkish intransigence,” the president continued.
