The renewed beach offers a 'breath of coolness, optimism and carefreeness'.
"When you look from above, Glyfada looks like a painting!" mayor Giorgos Papanikolaou posted on social media.
"Awarded in recent years with a Blue Flag, the beach of Glyfada is ready for this year, earlier than ever. We cleaned it, tidied it up, put umbrellas everywhere (at a distance of ten meters from each other), threw fresh sand, treated it like every year. And this year is better than ever!" he added.
"This period has many ups and downs. It is difficult, forced and will continue to be until the end of the great adventure of the pandemic. I thank the deputy mayor Giannis Skaltsas and all those who worked for the result you see," Papanikolaou concluded.
