Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias had an online meeting with the leader of the main opposition party of Belarus, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, earlier on Thursday.
Dendias expressed Greece's commitment to democracy, human rights and the rule of law as matters of principle and stressed the need for the crisis in Belarus to be resolved through dialogue.
"I held a video conference with Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, and expressed Greece's commitment to Democracy, Human Rights & Rule of Law as a matter of principle," he said on Twitter.
"I stressed the need to resolve the crisis in Belarus through dialogue. I also invited Ms. Tsihanouskaya to visit Greece," the foreign minister added.
