MYTILINEOS reps visit Libya to discuss economic opportunities

MYTILINEOS' representatives recently visited Libya and met with the Mayor of Tobruk.

According to a Twitter post, they discussed a natural gas power plant with a total capacity of more than 650MW that the Greek company is building in the region.

They also discussed ways that MYTILINEOS can use its strategic advantage in the country, further supporting Libya's needs for new infrastructure and reliable electricity generation.

In December, the Mayor of Tobruk Municipality, Faraj Boual Khattabia, and the General Director of the General Electricity Company of Libya (GECOL), Ibrahim Al-Falah, held a meeting with the Greek company's CEO, Kostas Horinos.

In the December meeting, they finalised an agreement to construct a power plant with a production capacity of 740 megawatts.
