Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades commemorated Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day through a post made on Twitter.
"We stand with reverence and pain before their sacrifice," he said.
"We hold hands firmly with out Armenian brothers, who live here together, in our homeland," the Cypriot President continued.
"We continue the effort for the recognition of the genocide by the world community," he concluded.
His sentiments were also shared by Cypriot Member of the European Parliament, Lefteris Christoforou.
