Development Minister Adonis Georgiadis said that Greece needs "5.5 million vaccinations to build a strong wall of immunity."
In speaking with THEMA 104.6, he also expressed frustration that only 60% of people over the age of 80 were vaccinated.
According to his assessment, from Tuesday when the platform opens for those over 30, and the increase of the flow of vaccines in the next period, things will be better as he said.
The Minister of Development also revealed that companies such as the American airline DELTA, are preparing two additional flights to Greece, proving that there is a great demand for tourism.
May will be a month of normality, stressed Georgiadis, saying that this will be done under the condition that vaccinations are taking place.
He noted that the need for vaccinations should be emphasised at every opportunity, not only for human lives but also for the economy.
In addition, he commented that there should be no fear of side effects from the AstraZeneca vaccine.
As he explained, this is because a side effect occurs in one in a million.
Georgiadis explained that all drugs have side effects, but when needed to shield our health we consume them.
