Shark swims in the shallow waters of a famous Greek beach (VIDEO)

Those who saw a small shark swimming in the shallow waters of Karathonas beach in Nafplion on Tuesday afternoon were left with their mouths open.

The glaucous shark was lured to the shallows of the bay by a flock of fish that it was hunting to eat.

The locals who were at the spot took care to capture the moment, since such a spectacle is not often encountered in Greece.

This particular species feed on small fish and squid, but can also attack larger prey.

The Nafplion Port Authority was informed about the incident.
