The Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, spoke about the opening of the restaurant today, Easter Monday, emphasising, among other things, that "the virus is not gone."
At the same time, he added that "no one wants to restrict anyone's freedom, but the virus must be kept under control."
In this context, he assessed that the resumption of focus is not a return to our old life but "a step towards normalcy."
It is worth noting that with the opening of tourism on May 15, as he told ERT, restaurants will be able to stay open longer than the current 22:45.
Georgiadis claimed that this measure was a requirement made by experts.
More specifically, he stated that "speaking louder, you exhale the droplets more quickly, increasing the chance that someone next to you who has taken off their mask to eat will catch it."
