On the first weekend of organised beaches being opened, ERT conducted a funny interview asking beachgoers on their reflection of the opening, with the video going viral.
The interviewer asked a male buried head deep in sand on his thoughts of COVID-19 restrictions being lifted.
“We finally opened up, we were bored in the house," he said, with all seriousness.
The epidemiological picture of Greece shows steady signs of improvement, allowing the gradual resumption of activities.
Organised beaches opened with strict measures - social distancing of at least four metres between umbrellas, disinfection, antiseptics, masks and self test for beach staff.
To go to the organised beaches, people must send an SMS to 13033 with code 6.
