Police units transfer to Mykonos, Santorini and Rhodes in preparation for tourist season

In preparation for the tourist season, more than 100 police officers will be transferred to Mykonos to bolster security on the popular holiday island.

A similar initiative is also underway from the other massively popular tourist islands of Santorini and Rhodes.

Police responsibilities include road safety, street policing and cracking down on organised crime and burglary rackets.

Greece opens to all tourists on May 15 so long as they have a vaccination certificate or a negative COVID-19 test no older than 72 hours upon arrival.

Rhodes.
