Dave Bautista joins Daniel Craig in 'Knives Out 2', set to be filmed in Greece

Actor and former WWE wrestler Dave Bautista has become the first to join Daniel Craig in 'Knives Out 2', which will be filmed in Greece this summer.

It was reported in March that Netflix closed a deal north of $450 million for two sequels to the hit 2019 murder-mystery, with Craig returning as Detective Benoit Blanc.

'Knives Out' was one of the most well received movies of 2019, both commercially and critically.

No details were given for the character Bautista will portray in the sequel.

Production will reportedly start on June 28.

Rian Johnson is back to write and direct the pic and will produce with his partner Ram Bergman.

Where in Greece it will be filmed remains unclear although over the past decade,  many Greek islands have been filming locations of numerous Hollywood movies.

Bautista was born January 18, 1969 in the Washington, D.C. suburb of Arlington, Virginia, the son of Donna Raye (née Mullins) and hairdresser David Michael Bautista.

His mother is of Greek descent, while his father is the son of Filipino immigrants.

During his wrestling career, Bautista used the ring name "Batista", with a modified spelling. When he went into acting, he reverted to the name's original spelling.
