34% of the adult population in Europe has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, noted European Commissioner for Health & Food Safety Stella Kyriakides at the Delphi Economic Forum VI at Zappeion Hall in Athens on Monday.

Speaking in a panel on the opening day of the international conference, Kyriakides added that some 16 million vaccines have so far been delivered to EU countries.

The bloc has also agreed to receive another 1.8 billion doses delivered by BioNtech/Pfizer in the immediate future.
