It's amazing what imagination and craftiness can do to a set of stairs. Students from the 57th General Lyceum of Athens, cleverly turned the steps near their school into the spines of timeless and classic books.
Some of the books featured on the stairs include Harper Lee's 'To kill a Mockingbird', 'Pride and Prejudice' by Jane Austen, 'A Separate Peace by John Knowles and George Orwell's '1984'.
The 'book staircase' not only brightens up the environment, but also promotes the importance of reading.
"Morning surprise on the school stairs by our students who took advantage of the holidays in their own way!" the school posted on social media.
Many Facebook users congratulated the students for their effort.
One user writes: "Great job! Well done to the children! Proud teachers!"
While another adds: “Wonderful! Children, the Spring of life!"
Earlier this week, kindergartens, primary schools and all levels and types of high schools reopened for in-person classes.
