President Sakellaropoulou meets with head of Bosnia and Herzegovina presidency

President Katerina Sakellaropoulou stressed Greece's firm commitment to promoting the accession of the Western Balkans to the European Union during her meeting with the chair of the Bosnia and Herzegovina presidency, Milorad Dodik.

Dodik is in Athens to participate in the 6th Delphi Economic Forum.

She underlined that Greece supports the efforts of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this direction, while she pointed out that the reforms required may not always be easy but are necessary.

On his part, Dodik expressed the hope that his country's European course will accelerate and thanked Greece for its firm and steady support.

During the meeting, the effects of the pandemic were discussed and hope was expressed for a speedy return to normalcy, which will also allow for economic recovery.

Both Sakellaropoulou and Dodik underlined the excellent bilateral relations of their countries, while pointing out that there is significant room to further strengthen them, especially on an economic and trade level.
