A public hospital doctor in Attica was arrested for demanding a bribe from a pregnant woman to offer treatment, Greek Police (ELAS) said on Thursday.
The woman told police he had asked to pay 500 euros for an unidentified medical act.
He was arrested on Tuesday while in possession of the bribe in pre-marked banknotes that he had received from the patient during their meeting.
The doctor was led before a prosecutor on Thursday.
