Her widower Babis paid tribute to his 'beautiful' wife' in front of the islanders who adopted her as their own.
"I was very lucky that I knew Caroline and that she loved me. I was very lucky for all the moments we shared," he said in a tearful eulogy. During the funeral helicopter pilot Babis carried baby Lydia over to lay a singer flower on her mother's coffin and carried her in his arms throughout the day. The gathering could see him holding her during the moment the pair said their final goodbyes to Caroline as her body was laid to rest in the hilltop cemetery. Caroline's grief-stricken parents – former British serviceman David Crouch and Filippino Susan Dela Cuesta – were supported by friends and relatives during the ceremony. Police are still on the hunt for the thieves who broke in and killed Ms Crouch, but no information has been forthcoming. The husband saw the face of one of the suspects and has described him to the police, state-run broadcaster ERT said on Saturday. Detectives believe the gang carried out days of surveillance as they have also identified three similar burglaries in the same area in the last six months, Greek media has been reporting. The U.S. Air Force is assessing upgrades to Cyprus’ Andreas Papandreou Air Base to enhance…
