Nikos Dendias met with Palestinian Ambassador Marwan E. Toubassi

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias met with Palestinian Ambassador Marwan E. Toubassi.

On Twitter, without anymore information given, the Greek Foreign Minister said that "recent regional developments" were the focus of discussion.

Last week, Greece’s Foreign Affairs Ministry expressed its deep concern over the rising violence in Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip, and called for its “immediate end.”

In March, Dendias met with Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki in Athens.

During the meeting, the Greek Foreign Minister highlighted that “Greece maintains close and historical ties with the Palestinian people" and was the only Western country to give Palestine "practical support" when it had no little international recognition.
