Guest of Honour for the night was Mr. Peter Maneas, producer of TV show 'My Greek Odyssey', accompanied by his wife Mrs. Helen Maneas.
Following the National Anthems of Greece and Australia which were recited by Mr. George Karantonis, His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of Australia congratulated the Kytherian Association of Australia for organising the "joyous occasion."
The eleven debutantes, their partners and the Matron of Honour Mrs. Maria Notaras, had a wonderful evening and were the stars of the night.
With the few practice sessions they had, they showcased an outstanding performance and really enjoyed themselves doing so.
Guest of Honour Mr. Maneas also gave a heartfelt speech about his Kytherian Heritage and shared life-changing words of advice to the debutantes and their partners about ambition and life.
'The Enormous Horns' with Angelique Cassimatis had the crowd up on their feet and on the dance floor all night.
And of course we can't forget to mention Effie Stephanidis (from the popular television sitcom Acropolis Now), who had the crowd in stitches with her personality.
The night full of ‘kefi’ wouldn’t have been possible without the Ball Committee of the Kytherian Association of Australia that put many months of effort into organising such a successful and fantastic event.
Donations from the night were made to the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
