Dendias to Theophilos: We have an interest in the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias expressed "in the clearest way" to the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III that Athens has an interest in the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

I met in Jerusalem with the Patriarch of Jerusalem Theophilos III, to express in the clearest way that the Greek government and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis have an interest for the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem, one of the holiest foundations of Christianity," he said on Twitter.

The Greek foreign minister met with Patriarch Theophilos III as part of today's tour of Israel, Palestine and Jordan.
