Attention Sydneysiders: Get ready to celebrate Greek culture, music, arts, food, and drink this weekend!

Hope Estate has partnered up with the creators of the hugely popular Greek Festival of Sydney Darling Harbour to bring a brand-new Mediterranean experience to the Hunter Valley.

The ‘Greek Fest in the Hunter’ presented by Delphi Bank, is happening this Saturday, May 22.

From 11am-6pm, attendees will enjoy a full day line-up of entertainment including national dancing troupes, Greek bands plus, direct from Greece, the amazing Dimitris Basis!

Michael Hope said, “I really enjoyed what the Greek Festival of Sydney team do in Darling Harbour and we were so excited to be helping them to grow the reach of this great culture, music and arts festival. It is such a privilege to be getting ready to welcome the Sydney Greek Community and the Newcastle Greek Community to come together for what’s set to be a pretty great party!"

Patrons can enjoy an Ouzo tasting & wine tasting included in every adult General Admission ticket, all set to the backdrop of Hope Estate’s stunning vineyards in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley.

And of course sweet honeyed loukoumades, mouth-watering souvlakia, savoury spanakopita, juicy yeeros and rich Greek coffee will have your stomach dancing.

It's going to be a great day out for all ages!

Pamela Proestos, the Director of Greek Festival of Sydney and representative for the Greek Orthodox Community of NSW said, “We’re so excited to give the people of the Hunter a taste of what Sydneysiders have been enjoying for decades. Being able to offer an event that is so distinctly Greek allows us to promote our food, music and culture to a much wider audience and form a connection between the Sydney and Newcastle communities. We can’t wait to celebrate with wine and ouzo (in moderation!) and see Greek dancing, local musicians and international artist Dimitris Basis on the Hope Estate stage.”
