Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met with the Minister of Culture of Saudi Arabia, Prince Badr bin Farhan Al-Saud, who is paying a visit to Greece.
During the meeting, the strengthening of bilateral cultural ties and exchanges, as well as the know-how that Greece can offer in terms of the protection of cultural heritage, were discussed.
"I understand that you had a very constructive discussion with the Ministry of Culture yesterday and we are very much look forward to fostering our cultural cooperation," Mitsotakis said.
"I take great interest in the importance you have assigned in protecting your unique cultural heritage," he continued, adding: "As we have some experience in this topic, I am sure there is a lot to discuss."
For his part, the Saudi official said "I am honoured to be here today."
"We had a successful meeting yesterday and we look forward to strengthening our relationship," he added.
