The Israeli Ambassador in Athens through a post on social media underlined the support and solidarity that has been publicly expressed to Israel by various countries in recent days.
In this context, he stressed that the friendly attitude of Greece, as well as the visit of Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias to Jerusalem, where he met with his Israeli counterpart, was a significant contribution.
The Palestinian Ambassador sent a letter in which it expressed its gratitude on the statement by the Foreign Minister, which he made after his meeting with the Palestinian Prime Minister last Tuesday.
Dendias during the meeting reiterated Greece’s commitment to the two-state solution based on the 1967 border with Jerusalem the capital of the two states, as well as his personal contribution to achieving the ceasefire.
The Palestinian Ambassador in his letter expressed his gratitude for the Foreign Ministry’s announcement that Greece would assist Egypt in treating the wounded from Gaza.
