Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis hailed the progress of the Greek vaccination programme in a tweet on Tuesday, noting that more than five million vaccinations had been performed as of Monday, May 24.
"Yesterday, Greece broke the barrier of 5,000,000 vaccinations," he said, adding: "A total of 3,280,000 citizens have received at least one dose of the vaccine and, of these, 1,810,000 are fully vaccinated."
"We continue at a fast pace towards our goal: Freedom!", the Mitsotakis added.

A total of 3,250,000 individuals, of Greece's 10.7 million people, have received at least one dose of a vaccine (31% of population).
1,800,000 citizens (17.2%) have completed their vaccination with either a two-dose or a single-dose vaccine.
