AEK Athens has made history, winning its first ever European trophy in handball!
The Greek players defeated Swedish club Ystads 30-26 in the first leg of the finals last week in Halkida, Central Greece.
They then won the second leg again by four goals, 24-20, on Sunday.
AEK was coached to the cup triumph by Dimitris Dimitroulias, who had also earned Greece’s first European trophy with Diomidis Argous in 2012.

Hundreds of fans took to the streets in Nea Filadelfeia to celebrate the win.
