One in five adults in Greece is fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to data announced during a press conference by Health Minister Vasilis Kikilias.
3,728,615 people have received a vaccine dose (35.51% of the population) and 2,137,818 are fully vaccinated (20.39%).
As long as there are no delays with the delivery schedule to Greece, the immunity wall will continue to build rapidly, with more than 100,000 vaccinations per day.
The next steps of the vaccination campaign in the country include the opening of the appointment platform for all vaccines for the age groups 25-29 and 18-24 thereafter, with the relevant announcements next week.
Speaking this morning to ANT1 about the availability of Pfizer and Moderna for the next 18-29 days, the Deputy Minister of Digital Government, Georgios Georgantas, stated that their appointments will be available from June 7 onwards.
It is recalled that by a previous decision of the National Vaccination Committee, the AstraZenca vaccine is administered exclusively to those aged 30 years and older.
The seven-day moving average in Greece until yesterday was 1,472 confirmed cases per day.
For the second consecutive week it was below 2,000, with a median age of 36 years.
Experts have attributed increased mobility and reopening of almost all activities to the average age of those infected being 36 years.
