Iranian on Interpol red notice list arrested in Thessaloniki

A 29-year old Iranian national for whom Interpol issued a red notice against at the request of Iranian authorities was arrested in Thessaloniki on Sunday.

The Iranian is wanted as a suspect in the abduction and strangling, along with other individuals, of a man over family differences in April 2014.

The wanted fugitive will be sent before a Thessaloniki appeals court prosecutor, while a council of appeals justices will decide on his extradition.
