A list of Greece’s 545 Blue Flag beaches is now available on the Visit Greece app.
In fact, Greece ranked second in the world among 49 countries, for the excellent water quality.
“The list’s addition to the Visit Greece app is considered necessary, as it offers travellers the opportunity to receive the information they need in order to plan trips and holidays to seaside destinations across Greece,” the Tourism Ministry said in an announcement.
The “Blue Flag” is a global symbol of quality which is awarded with strict criteria to organised beaches and marinas managed by coastal municipalities, hoteliers and other bodies.
“Offering access to the list, allows us to easily promote Greece as an attractive, safe destination, especially to foreign travellers who prefer the sea,” the ministry added.
The Visit Greece app is available for free on Google Play and the App Store.
One thing is for sure, nothing, and I mean nothing, comes close to a Greek Summer!
