1,500 traffic violations within 24 hours in Central Macedonia!

The General Regional Police Directorate of Central Macedonia, Greece, confirmed that more than 1,500 traffic violations were registered in the last 24 hours in the area of ​​its responsibility during targeted traffic checks.

The tally of infringements follows 3,988 vehicle inspections carried out in the areas of Imathia, Kilkis, Pella, Pieria, Serres and Halkidiki, resulting in 1,501 violations, which are as follows:

-674 for excessive speed,
-49 for not wearing a seat belt,
-44 for illegal parking on ramps for people with disabilities, sidewalks, buses, crossings and sidewalks,
-40 for driving under the influence of alcohol,
-31 for KTEO,
-20 for traffic in the opposite direction of traffic,
-15 for irregular maneuvers,
-13 for illegal overtaking,
-10 for mobile phone use,
-10 for non-use of protective helmet and
-595 other violations of the Traffic Code.
