Greek tennis superstar Maria Sakkari made revelations about her relationship with the Prime Minister's son, Konstantinos Mitsotakis, in her full-length interview on Alpha.

Sakkari noted that she has known Konstantinos Mitsotakis for a year: "It has been a year now since we met and the truth is that he helped me a lot. He is a special a child. I have said it anyway, it is not hidden."

"I think it was a big part of why I did well at Roland Garros as I spent my free time with him very differently from when I was alone. He calmed me down, he talked to me, he was very supportive," she explained.

Speaking about Roland Garros, she stated that "it was the first time he came to see me up close and he is always supportive. In the tournaments, where I was alone and he was in the army, he tried to see me, despite the schedule. I owe him a very big thank you."

"Konstantinos is a very simple child, I can talk to him for hours. We have a very easy relationship, he is a very easy person," she added, revealing that he plays very nice tennis with a very good service.

"We will play many times, I think he likes to play together," she commented, smiling while talking about their relationship. "He came when I did not expect it."

Konstantinos Mitsotakis completed his mandatory military service in the Army just before the beginning of the French Open, also known as Roland Garros.

The prime minister’s son enlisted in the Artillery in September 2020.

At the time, the Prime Minister was was not able to attend his son’s swearing-in ceremony at the Artillery Center due to measures against COVID-19.

From there, Konstantinos Mitsotakis was transferred to the Ioannou camp in Evros.

The Prime Minister finally saw his son in the “Ioannou” camp last October when he visited him where he was serving.
