30% of Greeks vaccinated

Approximately 31% of Greeks have been vaccinated for the coronavirus, while a 43% has been inoculated with at least one dose, said the country's Health Secretary General Marios Themistocleous during a live briefing on Tuesday.

Themistocleous also confirmed that the number of doctors and nurses who were vaccinated had risen significantly, as follows.

Vaccination percentages in the NHS:
- Doctors, 86%
- Nurses, 67 %
- Other medical staff, 69 %

In the private sector:
- Doctors, 91 %
- Nurses, 73 %
- Other medical staff, 70 %

Finally, people who have had the first dose of a vaccine outside of Greece can book their second-dose appointment at the Citizen Services Centres (KEP) by submitting their vaccination certificate, noted Themistocleous.

The Secretary General added that people are keeping their appointments for all vaccines (AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson), from 97% to 98%.
