Greek shipping slowly 'sinking'

Greek shipping numbers have seen a decline according to an announcement by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (HSA) on Wednesday following the release of its latest monthly report.

According to the report, Greek merchant shipping fleet fell 0.9%  in numbers totaling 1,839 ships in April, compared with the same month last year, after an 1.0%decline recorded in the same months in 2020-2019.

The HSA said that total capacity of the Greek fleet fell 3.4% in April totaling 40,307,202 dwt, in comparison with April 2020.
