Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias will attend an informal ministerial meeting on Syria, according to a foreign ministry announcement.
The meeting will take place on the sidelines of the ministerial meeting of the World Alliance against the “Islamic State” held in Rome.
The meeting will be attended by a limited number of states, which are involved or have made a significant contribution to developments in Syria.
This participation is part of Greece’s interest in developments in Syria, as noted in the announcement.
The meeting comes as the Greek Embassy recently reopened in the Syrian capital of Damascus after Dendias confirmed its reopening in early 2020.
