Alleged members of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), were arrested by Turkish border guards as they tried to cross into Greece illegally from Evros, likely to seek asylum.
A post by the Turkish Ministry of Defense on Twitter states that:
"Our Border Eagles, working in Adrianoupolis (Ἁδριανούπολις, Turkish: Edirne), Kypsela (Κύψελα, Turkish: İpsala) and Evros (Έβρος, Turkish: Meriç) districts, caught two people trying to cross illegally from our country to Greece.
"In the examination, it was determined that the arrested persons were members of the PKK terrorist organization."
