68 fires break out in Greece within 24 hours

An estimated  sixty-eight fires broke out throughout Greece on Sunday within a 24 hour period according to an announcement by the Fire Brigade.

In response to the outbreak, 985 firefighters were mobilized including 421 vehicles, the Motorised Special Operations Department,  15 aircraft and 11 helicopters.

According to the announcement most of the fires were dealt with immediately and caught at their early stages.

Regarding the fire that broke out yesterday, in Kefalonia, it is limited.
