Greece wins bronze in European Junior Championships

Greece won the bronze medal in the European Junior Artistic Swimming Championships which concluded in Malta yesterday 4 June after placing third with 83.1000 points.

The Greek national team placed third after scoring a total of 83.1000 points in the Highlight category  with the first and second places going to Ukraine (91.6667) and Spain (87.7333) respectively.

This is an impressive feat for Greece given it is new to this category, and had to contend with more experienced teams

"I am very satisfied with the overall appearance of our team in this event, as these are girls who participated for the first time in this category in Europe. Greece is now one of the top five or six Europeans teams in this category. I thank the Federation for the support and all those who contributed to our effort. " said coach Eleana Askoxylaki

Participating in the Greek National squad were  Zoe Agrafioti, Konstantina Angelopoulou, Vagia Stavroula Eleni, Konstantina Filenta, Eleni Frangou, Maria Karapanagiotou, Vasiliki Molozi, Despina Tampakaki, Glykeria Taraza and Georgia Zemogos.
