For the first time in its history, the 'Diagoras' international airport of Rhodes welcomed its very first flight operated by Air France, the biggest French airline.
The direct flight from Paris to Rhodes arrived on Monday, July 5, carrying 132 passengers, while Air France will be flying along the same route to the island of Rhodes with scheduled flights three times a week.
In fact, the director of Air France for Greece, Dinos Katsiotis, had a meeting on Monday with the director of Fraport at the airport of Rhodes, Athanassios Anifantis.
The airport of Rhodes sent another optimistic message in the uncertain environment created by the pandemic for travellers and tourism when it broke the barrier of 100 daily flights, with 80% of these being direct international flights.
