By 3 years ago

Two young girls from the city of Larissa in Central Greece, who went for a swim at Platamon by car, found a wallet full of money lying on the street when they were at a toll booth.

As the two 21-year-old Greek women found out, there were 8,069 euros and 47.50 Bulgarian levs in the wallet.

Finding the equivalent of about six months worth of an average Greek salary, or more, they did not think for a moment to immediately hurry and hand over it over to police in its entirety on Sunday afternoon, Proto Thema reported.

Police were quick to find his owner's identity.

When he was informed what had been found, the man did not even realise he had lost his wallet.

The man thanked the two 21-year-olds for their integrity and honesty, as did the General Regional Police Director of Thessaly, Brigadier General Asterios Mantziokas.
