New boat shelter inaugurated in Corfu

A new tourist boat shelter in Benitses, Corfu was inaugurated yesterday by the Minister of Tourism Haris Theocharis.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by, among others, Corfu MPs Gikas and Biagis, the regional governor of the Ionian Islands Rodi Kratsa - Tsagaropoulou, the mayor of Central Corfu and the Diapontian Islands Meropi Hydraiou, deputy regional governors and representatives of tourism organisations.

In his opening speech the Minister stressed that in the current difficult tourist year for Greece to be again amongst the preferred top tourist destinations requires the cooperation of all with the infrastructure, the observance of the measures and the protocols and the vaccinations, for a better tourist season compared to last year.

Theoharis also pointed out that “the goal is the added-value given by this kind of development, which occurs in 11 regions of our country, including Benitses”.
