At a time when the Delta mutation is "galloping" in Greece and cases are increasing, a kind of rebellion in the policy of a restaurant in the Athenian suburb of Peristeri has hit headlines.
The poster found on a glass door of a Peristeri restaurant is far from the instructions set by the committee of infectious disease specialists.
At a time when more favourable measures have been announced for those who have been vaccinated, especially when it comes to indoor dining, this particular cafe-restaurant in Peristeri set its own terms, Proto Thema reported.
What is troubling, however, is the fact that the rapid rise of COVID-19 cases in Greece has been attributed to unmasked and unvaccinated people inside indoor venues.
According to infectious disease specialists, the carrier of the virus can infect dozens of people when it comes in contact indoors.
The contagious chain, however, breaks, as has been seen in other countries, with the vaccine that sheds the viral load.
In most countries of the world, under the fear of the prevalence of the highly contagious Indian mutation, vaccination campaigns are being organised.
