A Greek police officer is under investigation by Internal Affairs for allegedly keeping an 18 year old girl (and possibly younger) captive and forcing her into prostitution.
The case was brought to the attention of thepressproject.gr (TPP) who was contacted by the victim’s lawyer Mrs. Antonia Legaki.
According to media reports, the police officer is alleged to have illegally detained the young girl for a month before she managed to escape from his house on Saturday 10 July and took refuge in a cafeteria in a terrible state.
Mrs. Legaki said that the young girl had been at Ilioupoli police station since Saturday morning with her and proceeded to file a lawsuit after police did not immediately arrest the officer in question.
"The police had caught her torturer but had not arrested him, they had brought him in despite the law saying that when a spontaneous felony or misdemeanor is reported, he should be arrested and taken to the prosecutor." she added
