Greece's Foreign Affairs Minister Nikos Dendias will visit Cairo today where he will meet with Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

The Greek Foreign Ministry and the Arab League will then sign a memorandum of cooperation, which provides for the establishment of political consultations between the two sides, and also between Greece and members of the Arab League, according to a ministry statement.

Statements to the press are expected at around 15:45 Greek time.

On Monday, Minister Dendias met with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry in Brussels, on the sidelines of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
