COVID-19: 2,691 new cases in Greece on Friday, 14 dead

Greek health authorities announced 2,691 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, of which 11 were identified after checks at the borders.

The total number of cases amounts to 453,200 (daily change +0.6%), of which 51.2% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 167 are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,721 are related to an already known case.

Of the cases announced today, 1,216 are in Attica, 184 in Thessaloniki and 112 in Heraklion.

There were 14 new deaths attributed to COVID-19.

Since the beginning pandemic, there has been 12,833 deaths attributed to COVID-19.

95.1% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

The number of patients treated by intubation is 123 (62.6% men).

Their median age is 66 years.

87.0% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years and older.

There were 101 new COVID-19 patients admitted to hospital.

The median age of cases is 42 years, while the median age of death is 78 years.
