Touted as the "greatest air show in Greece" by organisers, Athens Flying Week (AFW) Tanagra International Air Show 2021, will be showcasing a display Rafale fighter jet when it opens at the Tanagra air base on September 4 and 5.
An estimated half a million fans from around the word are expected to attend the show with the Rafale jets being one of the highlights.
Besides the Rafale display aircraft, the weekly show will also include demonstrations by the Patrouille de France aerobatic team, and the Saudi Arabia Hawks team, as well as by the Greek Armed Forces.
Some of the types of aircraft to be on display will be the F-15 SA and Tornado of the Royal Saudi Air Force, the Typhoon Eurofighter and Tornado (Germany), the C-130 (Belgium), the F-16 Display (Denmark) and the F-16 Tiger (Poland).
Private individuals and clubs will also take part in the Athens Flying Week.
Spectator seats will be limited due to the coronavirus restrictions, and tickets are already on sale.
