The majority of the movie ‘Mama Mia!’ was filmed on Skiathos, as well as on Skopelos.

“Despite it being over ten years since Meryl Streep told us “it’s a rich man’s world” and Amanda Seyfried got to run around the beach with Dominic Cooper on the set of Mama Mia!, we’re all still harbouring fantasies about moving to a Greek island,” reads the announcement on the Big 7 travel site.

The Greek Island of Kefalonia also placed on the list at number 31.

Much of the 2001 tearjerker, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, was shot on the beautiful island of Kefalonia.

Most of the filming took place in the tiny village of Sami and the beach at Antisamos Bay.
