Stefanos Tsitsipas became the first Greek man to win an Olympic singles tennis match since 1924.

He won by beating Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in his first round game.

Stefanos Tsitsipas comes back from a break down in the 3rd set to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 and reach the 2nd round of the Olympic games.

In the other match played today Frances Tiafoe of USA defeated Soon-woo Kwon of Korea 6-3 6-2 to set a second round clash with Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Last month, the 23-year-old American claimed one of the biggest wins of his career, defeating Tsitsipas 6-4 6-4 6-3 at Wimbledon.
