Residents of Alonissos are outraged by the murder of "Kostis", the seal mascot of the island. The unsuspecting animal was killed with a large harpoon.
The MoM Organisation filed a lawsuit against everyone responsible, as did the Management Body of the Alonissos National Marine Park, ERT reported.
Kostis will be buried and necessary samples were taken for further laboratory analysis.
The fisherman who found the dead animal off the coast of Alonissos complained about the indifference of the authorities.
He said they were informed about the danger the seal faced from visitors to the island.
