BREAKING: Greek Minister tests positive for COVID-19

Greece's Minister of Development and Investments, Adonis Georgiadis, has tested positive to Covid-19 as he personally announced on his twitter feed today, Tuesday 27 July.

According to his social media post, Georgiadis said he developed a fever,  even though he had  undergone a rapid test earlier in the day, after his appearance on ANT1, and was found to be negative for the coronavirus.

The Minister's full post:

"Although last morning when I went on Ant1 TV, I did a rapid test based on the protocol there and I was negative, suddenly I had a fever last night. I immediately did another test and the results that came to me at dawn show me positive for coronavirus. I am almost 49 years old and the only reason I know I will go through it mildly is the fact that I am fully vaccinated. I call on all my peers, especially those older than me, to be vaccinated as soon as possible.

"It is impossible to predict where and how you will get infected and it is a pity I automatically go into quarantine until it passes, but I am fine and I will continue to work normally via the Internet.

"Those I met yesterday are fortunately vaccinated and according to the protocol they are not require to quarantine, hence my office will operating normally", he wrote characteristically.
