Half of Greece already vaccinated, children are next in line 1

Nearly half the country has been fully vaccinated according to the latest figures at an estimated 4,915,000 citizens which corresponds to 46.8% of the general population and 55% of the adult population.

The news comes as Secretary-General of Primary Health Care Marios Themistokleous, announced yesterday that the vaccination platform will be available for bookings for children over 12 years old, as of Friday, July 30.

Themistokleous made the announcement during the briefing on the National Vaccination Plan for Covid-19 disease and explained  that the appointment for the vaccination of children can be made from the platform emvolio.gov.gr with Taxisnet codes and the appointment can be booked by any of the parents.

Also, the child’s appointment can be booked at the KEP or in the pharmacies, the parent presenting the identification data of themselves and the child.

Children should attend  the vaccination centres accompanied by their parent or guardian.

Themistokleous, said that  more than 10,200,000 vaccinations have been carried out and more than 5,600,000 citizens have been vaccinated with at least one dose corresponding to 53.4% ​​of the general population and 63% of the adult population.
