Sepolia basketball courts transformed to honour Giannis Antetokounmpo

The Sports Centre of Sepolia in the Municipality of Athens, where everything started for Giannis Antetokounmpo, and he wrote the first pages of his basketball history, has come to life again.

At a time when the "Greek Freak", with hard work, perseverance and vision, is making his dream come true by reaching the top of the NBA, the basketball court in his home neighbourhood of Sepolia immortalised him.

New fencing, benches and trash cans were installed, while an old structure was removed and replaced with a safety floor and a brand new certified, modern playground, thus giving more vital play space for local children.
